PCM for Oncology

A high percentage of conditions managed by oncologists, inlcuding radiation oncologists, meet the criteria for Principal Care Management (PCM) services.   In many instances the practice is already providing but not billing for services eligible for PCM.  Example of conditions that may qualify for PCM services include: 

• Primary maligant neoplasms
• Secondary maligant neoplasms
• Certain low grade or in situ tumors
• Thalasemia
• Certain types of anemia
• Sickle cell disease
• Pancytopenia
• Neutropenia
• Factor deficiences
• Thrombophilia
• Coagulation deficits
• Thrombocytopenic purpura
